Fabricated in 100% cotton in a vibrant marigold yellow
Trimmed in a contrast orange
Hand embroidered Bird at center front with flowers along the neck and sleeves
Gathered half length sleeves
Hem clean finished with the orange trim.
There are no fasteners. Please allow ease to pop over the head.
Maker: Josefa, This piece retailed at El Aguila Descalza (The Barefoot Eagle), one of Guadalajara’s top boutiques in the 1970s, Started by Josefa Ibeira and her business partner Ana Villa. (*The Daily Register 4/22/79) Handmade in in Josefa’s studio in Tlaquepaque Jal. Mex. on the 2nd floor of the Barefoot Eagle by women living in local villages. (*Tucson Citizen 9/30/1970)
Condition: Very Good. Minor color bleed from the orange trim along the hem and a spot of color bleed on the front bodice. (See photos). Hand soaked using synthopol for color bleed and line dried. Arrives clean and ready to wear.
