Dating to the early 1900s, I believe c.1904
Fabricated in linen and trimmed in lovely Venetian lace insets
This set features a cropped bolero style jacket, sitting high in the back and dipping in the front.
No closure on the jacket
Unlined
Trimmed in a lovely venetian lace inset at center back and the overarms and around all edges
the seams are french finished the the armholes are clean finished with a binding.
The 7 panel Skirt sits at the natural waist
It features tucks on each princess line and fastens down the wearer’s left with mother of pearl buttons.
The waist is clean finished with a petersham and 2 hooks and eyes
Six Venetian lace insets, each backed in net, embellish the sweep.

Maker: Mendel Brothers Chicago Lingerie Shop
Condition: Good with a 5/8” hand mend to the wearer’s upper right back panel. The 2nd button from the bottom is darker than the others. There are multiple areas of wear (including tears)to the inside of the hem.None of these are visible when worn, but you willl not be able to extend this length. (See photos). Hand soaked and line dried. Arrives clean and ready to wear.
